Welcome!

Welcome to the world of Delmar the Dinky!

Hi, I’m Pat Danna — and I’m so glad you’re here.
Through Delmar’s tiny but mighty adventures, I hope to spark imagination, build confidence, and remind children that being small doesn’t mean you can’t make a big difference.

Whether you're reading at bedtime, in a classroom, or curled up on the couch, Delmar’s stories are filled with heart, humor, and meaningful life lessons.

Come explore, read, and discover what makes Delmar — and every child — wonderfully unique.

About
What is a dinky

What is a

A small streetcar, called a dinky, carried as many as 40 passengers on the same rail lines that were used by trains and larger streetcars. The dinky ran on electric power connected to overhead wires with a trolley pole. In St. Louis, the Loop Trolley travels down Delmar Boulevard to Forest Park. Who knows? Maybe someday you will ride a dinky.
